If you will permit us, we take some solace knowing we can guide you in choosing an agency that will work with you to attain your goals – and to avoid many pitfalls along the way.
We suggest sourcing and refining a list of agencies yourself. Do not delegate – for you will lose touch with any agency’s culture before you begin any journey with them.
A traditional agency may focus on output, a growth-focused agency may focus on KPI output. Determine what is appropriate for your own internal growth and success indicators, and if they match with your agency of choice, you’re one step closer to a match made in heaven.
An agency’s relationship with their clientele are based solely on discretion – their union within your company is that of a secret mistress. To perform, any successful agency must require a degree of insider knowledge, of your financial position, and industry secrets.
Any experienced agency will provide – and mandate – a non-disclosure agreement for both parties – without one, you’re signing away your secret sauce. And we don’t want that. Imagine, an agency learns all about your company, and later works for your competitor with your intellectual property.
The most important aspect of all, any agency you will choose to work with must be honest. Set the boundaries clearly upfront – how often you expect communication, and how often you’ll monitor their progress.
Once you have signed with an agency you trust – let them perform. Do not hover over them like a school teacher wanes before a misbehaved student. Rather, let them show you what they are capable of. Any successful relationship with an agency must focus on trust. Trust them to perform. And hold them accountable if they don’t.
If they are not experts, thank them for their time, and cross them off your list. Do not quail in the wasting of your time – for an agency will devote many thousands of dollar’s worth of resources to secure your account. Save yourself the time, and save them the money, by telling them clearly if they don’t fit your culture.
Until you have found an agency that fits your culture, continue to search. Do not sacrifice your company's integrity for the pressures of finding an agency.
What we promise is who we are. Our word is as strong as a union in holy matrimony.
If you feel we may be a fit with your company culture, we invite you to reach out and say hello. Let’s have a cup of tea, or a conversation to see if we can assist you.
